Gordon has over 20 years’ experience advising boards and remuneration committees on executive remuneration. His focus is providing balanced thoughtful advice on remuneration and designing remuneration policies that provide a competitive advantage. Gordon founded Kepler Associates in 2000 and grew it into the largest independent adviser to UK remuneration committees, advising 17% of the FTSE350.
Prior to Kepler, Gordon was a partner at Strategic Compensation Associates and a strategy consultant at McKinsey & Company.
Gordon merged Kepler Associates with Mercer in 2015 to internationalise Kepler’s board consulting business and be able to provide below-board remuneration consulting capabilities. Gordon now leads Mercer’s Executive Remuneration practice in London.
Gordon has advised over a third of the FTSE100 remuneration committees as well as numerous smaller listed and privately-held companies, mutuals, partnerships and not-for-profit organisations on remuneration. He was a Founder Director of the Remuneration Consultants Group, which operates the Code of Conduct for Remuneration Consultants in the UK, and appears from time to time in the media to discuss latest trends in executive remuneration.
Gordon holds an MBA with distinction from INSEAD, Fontainebleau and a double first class degree in Mathematics and Management from Cambridge University.
